We hope these memos help you better understand Thinking Maps.  They are part of our Kingsway culture!

Our focus is using academic and skill language with our maps.  Instead of calling it a Circle Map (see the first memo), we use Defining Map.  You can find the map skill name under the "regular" name of each map on the memos.

Map Names

Circle Map = Defining Map

Bubble Map = Describing Map

Double Bubble Map = Compare and Contrast Map

Tree Map = Classifying Map

Brace Map = Part to Whole Relationships

Flow Map = Sequencing Map

Multi-flow Map = Cause and Effect Map

Bridge Map = Seeing Analogies and Relationships Map
