  • Punta Gorda Middle School has tutoring available for students who are struggling in any core academic class (Math, Science, Social Science, or English Language Arts) and have specific assignments they need assistance on. Tutoring is available Tuesday and Thursday, from 4:10pm to 5:10pm.

    Please complete the information below if you are interested in having your child attend. A School Counselor will contact you for confirmation.
     
    All students must be picked up no later than 5:15pm. If you are unable to pick up your child, transportation may be available. The Student Code of Conduct applies and students may be asked to no longer attend the program if they are not picked up on time or fail to comply with the Student Code of Conduct.

  • Early Release Schedule

    Just a reminder that all ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â will follow the early release schedule 4 times this school year.
     
    PGMS will be dismissing at 2:10pm for all students.
     
    Bus schedules will be adjusted to bring students home that normally ride the bus.
    If your child has never ridden their assigned bus, but needs to on early release days, then please call the school BEFORE Wednesday for a bus pass.
     
    Boys and Girls Club and all other after school activities at PGMS will be cancelled on this day, unless otherwise notified by the club sponsor or coach.

    Teachers are identified as out-of-field based upon their teaching assignment and student enrollment, as identified in the Florida Department of Education Course Code Directory. Teachers who teach one or more classes of a subject that is not a subject area listed on their Florida Educator’s Certificate are considered out-of-field.

    The following teachers at Punta Gorda Middle School are certified, but are assigned one or more classes outside their areas of certification and are required to take appropriate steps to comply with the statutory regulation:
