Degrees and Certifications:

  • My name is Heather Jones and I am starting my 9th year of teaching. This is my third year at Charlotte High School. I began my teaching career at Neil Armstrong Elementary, right here in Charlotte County. My love for teaching began at a very young age. I have always had a need to teach, a need to share, and a need to help children.

I have been married for almost 20 years to my husband Richie, and we have two children. In addition to our boys, we also have a dog and three cats! All of our animals were adopted from animal shelters. As a family we enjoy traveling, camping, and spending weekends watching our boys play sports.

I love being a Tarpon. I grew up in Ohio (Go Buckeyes!) in a small town where everyone took pride in their high school. Charlotte High students & alumni share this same type of pride, which makes me proud to be a Tarpon!  #tarponpride

I look forward to a great school year!

    My Mission Statement

I will create a nurturing environment that inspires, motivates, encourages, supports and challenges students. I hope to instill a lifelong love of reading and learning. My goal is to educate our students not only academically & cognitively, but also build their character and competence. I feel that this is important for their development and growth. This environment will foster responsible, resilient, and respectful students that will lead by example with strategies to be successful students and adults.
