Mr. Dubrule
Hello Manta Families,
My name is Major Mike Dubrule, I am the Senior Naval Science Instructor (SNSI) here at Lemon Bay Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps. Together with our Naval Science Instructor (NSI), I lead our unit of Student Cadets as we explore the many exciting aspects of JROTC.
I am a 24-year active duty veteran of the United States Marine Corps. I enlisted in the Marines right after high school and spent the first half of my career as an Enlisted Marine, serving in the fields of Engineering and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD). At the 12 year mark, I received a commission after completing my degree at Florida State University. As an Officer, I served in the field of Intelligence and had the opportunity to command organizations of up to 400 personnel in garrision and combat roles throughout the world.
After retiring from the Marine Corps in 2012, I served for a short period as a Department of Defense Civilian at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa before entering the education arena. I served as the Director of the Young Marines Magnet Program at Venice Middle School and served as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Venice High School for 6 years and then taught Marine Corps JROTC and coached baseball at Watauga HS in Boone, NC for a year before returning to the area in 2022.
We have a great JROTC Unit here at LBHS and I look forward to helping our students achieve their goals in our program and in their future endeavors.
