• Safety Patrol Program:

    Safety Patrol membership at Kingsway Elementary is a position of honor and is not taken lightly. Students who serve in this position show leadership skills and LEAD by example every day. They are role models for the entire school and take their jobs very seriously. 

    Students are hand-selected by teachers to represent the "eyes and ears" of the school when teachers and staff may not be available. Safety patrols have a number of duties. In the morning, these roles include assisting in the cafeteria, serving at parent drop off and pick up, hallway patrol, and ensuring students arrive safely off the bus.  

    Another key responsibility is keeping an eye on the students to make sure that rules are followed. In the afternoon, patrols assist with all aspects of dismissal, making sure that the students remain safe.
